Welcome to Pippins Pre-School
Pippins Pre School offers a range of services for children aged 2 years 9 months, we accept the 2 year old funding as well as the 30 hours funding. The setting encourages children to play together and have fun whilst also promoting vital motor skills and communication development. As part of this service, we also provide support for parents to develop the necessary skills to help care for their children and promote their development.
Ofsted graded Pippins Pre-School as Good at our last inspection which was in December 2018. You can see our Ofstetd reports on the Our School page.
We usually have available as part of our continuous provision:
- Home corner
- Maths area
- Quiet corner
- Mark making area
- Construction area
We enhance these areas by adding other resources. We have a free flow system whereby the children choose what they would like to play with. They are encouraged to tidy up the area they have played in before they move into another area. The children can also free flow to our outdoor playground and sheltered area where there are always a minimum of two staff present. The continuous provision in the playground:
- Construction area
- Water wall
- Bikes and scooter area
- Mud kitchen
There are smaller resources available to enhance these areas. There are some photos of our indoor and outdoor spaces in the Our School and For Parents sections of the website.
We do have toilets accessible for children who are potty trained. We have changing facilities available for those who aren’t. Each child will be allocated a key worker, and a colour group. This will be confirmed during the home visit (in person or virtual) which takes place during term time just before your child is due to start.
If you are interested in your child attending Pippins, please get in touch with us, 01252 373137 or email email@example.com, to arrange a date and time for a show around visit. We offer show around visits during term time on most Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. At the show around you will be able to ask questions and will be given the prospectus, terms and conditions, and the registration form. If you wish to register your child for Pippins, complete and return the registration form with the admin fee to secure the place. We will confirm this by email with you. We will be in touch to organise a home visit early in the term your child is due to start to go through some more formalities, to discuss and agree the days/hours of attendance, confirm the start date, and any settling in hours if necessary.
